Traversing rainforests, mountains, lakes and parklands, the Scenic Rim is a natural wonderland full of active adventure to suit all ages and abilities. From sedate walks to challenging climbs, you can explore the region on foot, or immerse yourself in waterborne activities amid our lakes, swimming holes and waterfalls. Select local dams allow everything from fishing to water-skiing, kayaking and jet skis on the water.

Gain a bird’s-eye perspective from a hot-air balloon or take flight on a hang-glider. Back on the ground, the Scenic Rim has multi-use trails and facilities geared for horse riding, freestyle motorcycling, quads, 4WDing and mountain biking around the region.

The Scenic Rim offers myriad ways to commune with nature. Scout our six National Parks, spotting diverse local wildlife, spying native plant species and enjoying the view from scenic lookouts.
